About Pond Farm
Sensible Horse Training has now been at Pond Farm for three years. We expanded the facilities and built an 80ft x 160ft riding/driving arena. Seasonally, you can practice marathon driving skills through our portable obstacles.
We harvest our own hay for the business and have more than 125 acres of hay fields to gallop or drive around along with endless trails and dirt roads to explore. The photo gallery of Pond Farm activities and facilities is a brief album showcase of what we have to offer owners and horses.
Pond Farm has plenty of room to trail ride, jump, and drive A horse with a lot of positive experiences has a good head on its shoulders. Maya doesn't believe in skipping steps or rushing horses; like people, horses all learn at different speeds.
Exposing horses to many situations helps them accept life's ordeals. These obstacles are also useful to adult horses that are nervous or just don't pay attention to you. Don't let a young horse sit idle, teach him something.
Year Round Training
No matter the weather, we can comfortably train your horse at Pond Farm. We converted the on site airplane hangar into a personal sized indoor arena. From ground work in winter to keep horses sharp when weather is bitter, to starting horses to ride and drive. I enjoy teaching kids and adults alike all the basics from the ground up as well.
